Description

Finally got a good picture of her. She moves really fast. This is Mochi, our little robo hamster. She's got something of an interesting personality. She wants attention, but she is too timid. So if we talk softly to her she will come over and sit by us, or sometimes she will come when called which can be funny. Other mornings if we call her she throws a fit like a child tossing and turning in their bed. You'll just see the fluff shake so long as you are still talking to her.

She gets super-excited over treats and will run back and forth, occasionally jumping up the cage side...which is such a rare occurrence that it is kind of a shock when it does happen. I have also found that she watches me. I see her peering over the edge of the screen opening, up on tip toes. When she realizes I've spotted her she runs and hides. Most of all, one day I started singing the Dango Daikazoku song to her, and she plopped on her behind and pulled food out of her cheek and ate happily. Since then, every time I sing that song to her I get a similar reaction. She does have a bit of a jealous streak too. If I hold Lily, I find Mochi makes it a point to watch...yet she won't let us pick her up.

She and Lily are not close like she and Truffle were. When Truffle passed away, Mochi became haggard. Since then, despite trying to keep interacting with her, she has become less and less willing to interact aside from through the cage mesh. While Mochi has since then cheered up a little, Truffle's passing affected her in an irreversible way. So, we still spoil her, and we love her just as much, but we don't try to tame her any longer as it only stresses her. She's a good girl, and as you can see she loves her fluff.
